Memoirs of a Suicide Part One – Let’s Start this off with a Bang! 

After twenty years, it’s here.  

Seattle— 2/16/2024 — With beginnings after the tragic loss of his nephew Jerimy in early 2004, creator J Horsley III began writing a novel to try and understand how he was feeling about his nephew’s suicide. This story would be worked on and off over the next twenty years until, finally, in 2022 after the encouragement of friends and family “Memoirs of a Suicide” was completed.

Working through the story with editor Greg Smith the story was broken out into three parts, each compromised of ten chapters. "Memoirs of a Suicide Part One – Let’s Start this off with a Bang!" is the first novel and introduces you to the main character, Robert Clarke, and his world.

Robert Clarke was a troubled kid, never feeling like he fit in. The girl he loved fell for his bully, his mom always felt distant, and he never knew his father. Those around him that caused him pain (physical or emotional) would often get hurt. Robert would never know how they were hurt though, as his life is peppered throughout with a series of black outs brought on by his fits of rage..

One day, while trying to navigate adulthood, he made the tough decision to end it all to stop the pain in himself and for those around him. It wasn’t until after he saw his lifeless body that his real adventures began. After death he enters the afterlife full of questions in search of answers he never got while alive. Robert meets new characters that help him along the way to better understand himself and those around him. Come with Robert as he learns to accept himself for who he is.
